Exemptions

Certain activities and areas are exempt from these restrictions, including:

  • New Lawns and Landscaping: Newly planted lawns and landscapes may be watered more frequently for the first 30 days after planting to establish roots.
  • Drip Irrigation and Hand-Watering: These methods are permitted at any time if done efficiently without runoff.

Violation Penalties

To ensure compliance, the City of Frisco will enforce the following penalties for violations:

  1. First Violation: A written notice and a request for compliance.
  2. Second Violation: A fine of up to $100.
  3. Third Violation: A fine of up to $500 and possible installation of a flow restrictor device.
  4. Further Violations: Increased fines and potential discontinuation of water service until compliance is ensured.

How You Can Help

Educating yourself and your community about these restrictions is crucial. Here are some ways you can contribute:

  • Fix Leaks Promptly: Even small leaks can lead to significant water waste over time.
  • Use Water-Efficient Fixtures: Consider installing low-flow showerheads, faucets, and other water-saving devices.
  • Practice Smart Landscaping: Use drought-resistant plants and grasses that require less water.
  • Stay Informed: Visit the City of Frisco’s official website or contact the local water department for more information and updates on water conservation efforts.

Thank you for your cooperation and commitment to preserving our water resources. By working together, we can ensure a sustainable and water-efficient future for the City of Frisco.
